Australian Wine Blended Specifically to Match Asian Cuisine
SAN DIEGO – Nov. 11, 2010 – Helping to answer the long-pondered question of what wine to serve with Asian cuisine, Aja Wines is partnering with Sabemos Beverages to bring its unique white wine blend to the U.S. market.
Sabemos Beverages will be helping the Australian-based winemakers with marketing, sales and distribution in the U.S. of Aja, which is pronounced “Asia.”The blend of Australian white wines offers a unique, luscious, up-front fruitiness and a crisp finish to cleanse the palate.
Created by long-time friends and business partners David Mulham and Mark Silcocks, the idea for Aja was born from a shared passion for good wine and delicious Asian food.“We realized there was a true sense of confusion about which wine to choose when either dining out at a favorite Thai or Japanese restaurant or staying in with some Chinese food,”said Silcocks. “We noticed that many consumers were often choosing wines that didn’t complement the dynamic flavors of Asian food, so we wanted to give people an easy choice that would work well with all their favorite Asian dishes.”
The wine has a suggested retail price of around $14.99 per bottle, and the initial distribution area includes the West Coast, Southwest and Texas.
